FreshXperts team grows adding Foodservice Expertise
FreshXperts is delighted to welcome its newest team member, Paul Grothe, to the group of expert produce industry consultants. Paul Grothe is well regarded in the fresh produce industry for his expertise in Foodservice marketing, procurement, quality control, distribution and logistics. Born and raised in the “Salad Bowl of the World” (Salinas), He grew up in the industry and credits his passion to his mentor and father Gary Razenberger. Paul has a Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
FreshXperts is thrilled to have Paul join the team; his over 25 years of expertise and experience in the industry is going to be nothing but beneficial. Paul is the Del Sur Services based in San Diego California. Before starting his own company, Paul worked for the industries most respected Foodservice companies to include, Markon, US Foodservice and Subway’s procurement arm. Del Sur Services works directly with some of the largest Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) in North America, consulting, purchasing and distributing fresh produce. In addition, Paul has helped to orchestrate several sizeable import programs to ensure year around supply for his QSR clients.

Grothe was first introduced to the FreshXperts earlier this year by colleague and friend, Nicholas Pasculli, President of TMD Creative (Salinas based Ag Marketing and PR firm), and was intrigued by the core values of the FreshXperts. The core values of partnerships, a focus on the fresh food industry, developing lasting relationships, trust, quality and excellence are perfectly aligned with the way Grothe conducts his private company client services. Grothe said, “The decision to join FreshXperts was an easy one for me. After learning more about the group and speaking to many of the consultant members, many of who I know well, I decided it would be a great fit not only for me but my family. Our value alignment and the collection of complimentary experience of the other members of the team make perfect sense.” Grothe continued, “I am proud to be joining a consortium of experts that share my broad-based experience to create bottom line results for our clients.”
