Food & Agribusiness M&A advisory services
With nearly 30 years of business operations, leadership and private capital market experience in the agribusiness and food sectors, Eric brings a unique perspective to each of his client engagements.
Where no wise guidance is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
Eric Bosveld is the Director, Food and Agribusiness at SDR Ventures (www.sdrventures.com), a Denver-based middle-market investment bank. He leads the firms’ mergers and acquisitions practice with food and ag-related companies in Canada and the U.S from his office in London, Ontario, Canada.
He is also President of Bosveld and Associates (B&A – www.bosveldassoc.com), an independent management consulting firm that helps clients prepare for an eventual sale by increasing the marketability of the business and its value. The firm also provides M&A advisory services to small companies that are not well suited to the full-service option provided by SDR Ventures.
Prior to joining SDR and founding Bosveld and Associates, Eric was the most senior operating executive and General Manager of the Agronomy Company of Canada (ACC), the 50% partner in 20 joint ventures as part of The Agromart Group (www.agromartgroup.com): a major agriproduct distribution network in Eastern Canada.
Eric has served on the boards of numerous private companies, some for terms of over 10 years. He was also president and a board member of a grain, feed and crop input supplier and served as the President and board chair of an identity preserved food soybean value-added processor and exporter.
Eric has extensive experience in M&A, business development, strategic planning/execution, risk management, board governance and operational improvement. He has worked extensively with Private Equity firms interested in acquiring agribusiness and/or food related companies as add-ons and/or platform investments.
He holds a B.Sc., and M.Sc. from Dalhousie and McGill Universities, respectively.
